League Rules
All teams must be OWHA sanctioned and follow the rules of OWHA and Hockey Canada.

League Specific Rules

Any player receiving 7 minutes in penalties in the same game will be removed from that game. There will be no further games accessed to that player.

Any player receiving a match penalty or GM penalty and receives more than that game suspension must report the penalty to all teams within 24 hours of the suspension. Plus you must scan an email OWHA the game sheets of the game in question plus all player suspended games (eg. showing 1 of 3).

Teams that have a dispute that cannot be resolved by the referees can approach an executive of the remaining teams not involved to resolve the issue.

Teams that cancel any game less than 48 hours before a schedule game time (exception weather related) will be responsible for the cost of the ice time and possibly refs. This will also count as a 5 - 0 forfeit in league play. If this occurs, that team will be asked for a $200 bond that will be returned at the end of the season as long as there are no outstanding fees to any other teams.

Teams must have 5 players (from your team, pickups do not count) and a goalie or 6 players to consider the game valid. Any less then this it will be consider a forfeit. A 5 – 0 loss is given to forfeiting team.

Home teams are responsible for game sheets.

Player Eligibility

All players must be insured and registered through OWHA.

No active College or University players will be allowed on the roster.

Team Rosters must be turned into the league no later than November 1.

Teams will be allowed to pick up players to make up to 10 players from other teams for regular season games However a maximum of 3 players can be picked up for any season game. This will not be allowed for playoffs.

We do allow goalie sharing again only if that teams goalie can not make the game. This will be allowed for playoffs (Only exception).

Players must play a minimum of 5 league regular season games to be eligible for the playoffs. There can be exceptions (injury, pregnancy, etc...) but that would still have to be approved by team managers.
